Is nullable types really something the community needs? They add a whole bunch of complexity with little benefit. Every feature that Microsoft adds to some product could be rationalized by Microsoft listens to what the community needs. There are at least a dozen things that the community needs more than nullable types. Are they doing any of those?

..., go to the MSDN Product Feedback Center: https://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/productfeedback. This feedback center is one of the improvements that show how Microsoft listens to the community. You can post ideas, bugs, and view ideas, bugs from others including Microsoft's feedback. Of course not everything is possible for the Visual Studio 2005 release. Regarding your comment, nullable types add a whole bunch of complexity with little benefit: I don't agree. Mapping database data types and also XML data types to an OO language was always a big problem. This is solved now!
